Section 312 of the USA Patriot Act requires us to perform due diligence with each of our accounts to ensure that you are who you say you are and that you reside in the United States in order to open an account with us.

This means that some of our users may be asked for additional information like a federally issued photo ID, a selfie to prove that it’s you, or a utility bill in your name or some other documentation to show that you reside at your address. We use automation to make this as quick and as painless as possible. You might have these things on hand when you sign up for an account in case we ask for them.
